Drop a PNG above and it shrinks right here. Decoding, palette reduction, and lossless packing all run on your own device through WebAssembly. Most online compressors get that part wrong. Below the top setting the slider trims the image to a color palette of up to 256 colors. That is lossy, but hard to spot on logos and screenshots. Push it to 100 and you get the lossless path only, with no color reduction. Most PNGs come out 40 to 70 percent smaller. Flat graphics can drop close to 90 percent. Transparency is kept.
