Download CSV to PDF Converter for Windows

CSV to PDF Converter turns a transaction export into a PDF report you can print and hand to someone else. It runs on your own Windows PC and takes a whole folder at once.

An export from your bank, your broker or your accounting system is data. It is not a document. SoftOrbits CSV to PDF Converter reads .csv, .tsv and .txt files whose rows carry a date and an amount, then lays them out as a table that survives a printer. If your table has no dates and no sums inside, this is the wrong tool. It was built for transaction data, for payments and registers and ledger extracts out of an accounting system, not for a contact list.

How to download and use the CSV to PDF Converter

Add your files.

1. Add your files

1. Add your files

Download the CSV to PDF Converter, install it and drag your export onto the list. A whole folder can go in at once, so you do not have to add twelve monthly files one by one.

Read the preview.

2. Read the preview

2. Read the preview

Before anything is written to disk, the program shows a text preview. It names the encoding it read the file in, then lists the first rows it recognized, showing how the parser split each row into columns. If the day and the month came out swapped, set the input date order in the combo box and look on the preview again.

PDF is the default in the output box, so press Convert. The report lands next to your data, ready for the printer or for an attachment. Pick QBO in that same box when the file has to go into QuickBooks instead of into a folder.

Something you can actually hand over.

Something you can actually hand over

A lender asks for a document. So does a board of directors, and so does the attorney on the other side. A comma-separated dump cannot be signed, cannot be attached to an application and will not be read by anyone outside your own desk. The horizon here is longer than one meeting, too, because the IRS keeps records relevant for three years in the general case, four years for employment tax, six years when income was understated by more than 25 percent and seven years when a bad debt is written off, so the copy you produce this week may well surface much later, on a desk in another office, in front of somebody who has no idea what your spreadsheet looked like.

No browser, no endpoint

Bank and brokerage exports are the one thing bookkeepers say out loud they will not put on a website they do not know. CSV to PDF Converter runs on your own machine under Windows. It takes the file from your disk and puts the PDF next to it, with nothing in between, which means no retention policy to take on faith and no upload step to opt out of.

No browser, no endpoint.
Check the figures before you pay.

The trial is functional rather than crippled. It converts 20 transactions out of your own data, laid out exactly the way the paid version lays them out, and it prints a notice on the PDF page itself saying the document was truncated. A trimmed statement that looks complete is exactly the thing you must not file, which is why the warning sits where a printed sheet can carry it.

What ends up on the page

Tables that survive a printer

The table header repeats at the top of every page, a transaction row does not get split across a page break, and amounts are right-aligned so the columns of digits line up under each other. Rows alternate shading, which matters more on paper than on the screen.

Page numbers in the footer

Every page carries its own number in the footer, so a reviewer can write 'see page 3' and mean something by it. Page geometry and footers are passed to the wkhtmltopdf engine on the command line rather than described in CSS, because the CSS route silently ignores landscape sizing in the build shipped here, and a silently ignored setting is the worst kind of setting.

Minus signs that survive black and white

Negative amounts are marked twice, by color and by parentheses. One color does not survive a black-and-white printer, a fax or a reader with color blindness, and a report where a withdrawal reads as a deposit is worse than no report at all. (1,204.50) says the same thing on any device.

It reads the export you already have

Delimiter and encoding are detected, not asked about. Columns are matched by their header names in English, Russian or German, a junk preamble above the real header row is skipped, a debit/credit pair is read as one amount, and an account column splits a mixed export per account. Where a date such as 05/06/2026 is genuinely ambiguous, you set the input order once, and that same choice decides how the dates come out in print.

Landscape or portrait, decided per file

Point CSV to PDF Converter at twelve monthly exports and get twelve reports in one pass. Orientation is decided per file. A wide table goes landscape and a narrow one stays portrait, so you never have to guess the page setup for a statement you have not opened yet. Each report is named after the file it came from.

The same export, as QBO

There is a second format in that same output box. The output box on the Convert page also writes .qbo, the Web Connect file QuickBooks Desktop imports. One tool covers both ends of the same export, the machine-readable end and the human one.

Who needs CSV to PDF Converter Tool

For nonprofit finance controllers

A volunteer treasurer closes the year with exports from two accounts and a board that meets once a quarter. The packet has to be printed, paginated and readable by trustees who are not accountants, and the same pages go into the audit folder next to Form 990. The report prints the columns the export carried and nothing else, and it adds no balance column of its own, so that nobody at that table mistakes a converted export for a balance the bank reported.

For lawyers and paralegals

Documents go to production page by page. Bates numbering, a prefix plus a zero-padded sequence of usually six to eight digits, is what the other side expects under FRCP 26 and 34. This program does not stamp Bates numbers on your pages. It produces the stable paginated PDF that a stamping tool, or the vendor doing the production for you, has to receive first.

For small business owners

There is no universal checklist for a loan package. The SBA states outright that the contents of a 7(a) application depend on the size of the loan and on the lender's processing method, and that your lender will help you work out which documents you need. Which means you are the one assembling it. Account exports, converted and printed the same way every month.

🙋 Frequently Asked Questions

Short answer: install the converter, drop the file in, press Convert. Long answer: the file is parsed before anything is drawn, so what comes out is a typeset table with a repeating header and numbered pages, not a screenshot of a spreadsheet window. The input has to be a delimited text file (.csv, .tsv or .txt) whose rows carry a date and an amount.

Four of them, in the order they bite. A file saved in ANSI shows garbled characters where accented names should be. Plenty of exports use semicolons, and a comma-only reader dumps the whole row into one cell. Then there is the date, because 05/06/2026 is May or June depending on who wrote the file. And a twelve-column table simply spills off from a portrait page. The preview screen exists so you meet all four before a single page is written.

No. Acrobat is a PDF application, and a CSV is a text file with separators in it, so there is nothing in Acrobat to lay it out with. A spreadsheet program or even Notepad will open it, and that is where most people stop. A table on screen is still not a document you can send to a third party; converting the export is the step that produces one.

Readable by a person means paginated. The header has to come back on page 4, amounts have to line up so the eye can add them, and a minus has to stay visible after a photocopier. That is the whole difference between converting an export to PDF and printing a spreadsheet: the layout is built for a sheet of paper rather than for a window you scroll.

A plain text file where every line is one record and the values are separated by commas, or by semicolons, or by tabs, in which case it is usually named .tsv. Every bank exports one. So does every accounting package. None of them agree on the column names, on the date order, or on the sign of a withdrawal, and that disagreement is most of what a converter actually deals with.

CSV to PDF Converter works with tabular data that has dates and amounts in it. The parser looks for a date column and for an amount column, or for a debit/credit pair, and it matches them by header name. Transaction exports and payment registers, ledger extracts, dumps out of an accounting system - that is what it was built to read. A contact list or an inventory sheet has neither dates nor sums, so a financial report is not what you would get back. One more boundary worth knowing. The PDF is not encrypted and this version has no password option.
