Can I print multiple PDF files at once without opening them?

How do I print all files in a folder?

Press Add folder and choose it. Everything printable inside is taken in one go, with subfolders if you ask for them. Sort the rows by name or date before the run. A file name mask lets you leave out what you never print, such as scanned covers or logos.

Why can't I print more than 15 files from File Explorer?

Windows hides the command on purpose. Microsoft describes it as by design. Once more than 15 items are selected, Print leaves the context menu along with Open and Edit, so that a huge action does not start by accident. The registry value MultipleInvokePromptMinimum has a default of 15. Setting it to 16 counts as unlimited for the menu, but Windows still does not open more than 16 documents. Dropping files straight into the print queue is not a reliable way around it. The program never goes through that menu, so the list size is limited by your paper.

Can this batch print program print Word and Excel files if Microsoft Office is not installed?

With neither Office nor LibreOffice on the machine, the program reads the DOCX or XLSX itself. Headers and footers are not printed, and the rendering engine places the page breaks, so a long table can split in a different place than it did in Word.

Can it print the multiple PDFs inside a ZIP archive?

Yes. The archive is extracted into a temporary folder and its contents enter the queue like ordinary files. The temporary copies go away when the batch ends. This is the everyday case in accounting, where a bank or a counterparty sends a whole month as one attachment.

Can it print email messages and attachments?

EML and MSG files print without any mail client, body and formatting included. Attachments are added to the list as separate rows right after their message, so you can uncheck the signature logos that travel as attachments too.

What happens if one file in the batch is corrupted or password-protected?

That file is skipped and the batch continues. Its row gets a status and the reason, such as a password the file asks for or a codec Windows lacks. A damaged file, or a document whose own permissions forbid printing, is reported the same way. The same list comes back in the report at the end, so you know which two documents out of two hundred need another look.

When I batch print documents, will they print in the order I set?

Rows print top to bottom, whether there are 12 of them or 1200. Set the order by dragging rows or sorting on a column of your choice. Files added later land at the end of the list.
