Convert PDF to JPG on Windows - Batch and Offline

Convert PDF to JPG on your Windows PC in batch and fully offline. Save every PDF page as a separate image file at the DPI you choose.

PDF to JPG Converter Screenshot.
PDF to JPG Converter is desktop software for Windows that turns your PDF files into images right on your PC. Point it at one PDF or at whole folder, and it saves each page as its own JPG. You pick the resolution, from 72 DPI for the web up to 600 DPI for print and archives, so a contract scanned at 300 DPI stays readable instead of coming out soft. Nothing is uploaded to a web service, which matters when the documents are invoices, medical records, or signed agreements you cannot send to a stranger's server.

How to convert PDF to JPG

Add your PDF files.

Choose the output format, pick a DPI preset of 72, 150, 300, or 600 - or type any value from 60 to 900 - and convert all pages or only a range like 2-5.

Each PDF page is written as its own file to the output folder you picked, named after the source file with a page number. That is the whole job.

Why convert PDF to JPG on your PC

Online converters are quick for one file, but they hit a wall on watermarks, daily caps, and slow uploads. A desktop tool does not.

What you get with a local converter.

What you get with a local converter

  • Confidential PDFs never leave your computer.
  • No watermarks, no signup, no daily cap.
  • Crisp results, not the soft, washed-out look cheap web tools give.
  • Still works when the internet is down or company policy blocks web services.

Batch folder conversion

Add a folder and every PDF inside it goes into the queue. The converter runs through all of them and exports every page, so a backlog of scanned files becomes images in one pass. No need to babysit each file one by one.

DPI from 60 to 900

You control resolution. Presets cover 72 DPI for screen, 150 for previews, 300 for print, and 600 for archival scans, and you can also type any value in between. Higher DPI means larger and sharper images, but bigger files too.

One image per page

A ten-page PDF becomes ten files, each named like report_page_003.jpg with a zero-padded number, so the order stays correct and nothing is merged into a single strip.

JPG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF

JPG is the default for small, shareable files. Switch to PNG when text must stay lossless, BMP for an editing pipeline, or TIFF for archives and multi-page scans.

Convert only the pages you need

Type a page range such as 1-3 or 10-25 and the converter skips the rest. Handy when a 200-page report has only three pages worth to turn into images.

Save where you want

Send the images to a folder you choose, or use Same as original to drop them next to each source PDF. The output structure follows your files, not ours.

Designers and publishers

Drop a PDF page straight into a layout, a product listing, or a slide as a ready-to-place JPG or PNG at the resolution the design needs.

IT admins and power users

Process large batches on locked-down or air-gapped machines where uploading documents to a converter is simply not allowed.

Output formats and when to use them

Every PDF page can be saved in any of these formats. Pick by what you do with the images next.

🙋 Frequently Asked Questions

For screen and web 72 to 150 DPI is enough. Print wants 300 DPI. Archives and small text do better at 600. DPI sets how many pixels each page becomes, so a higher number gives a larger, sharper image and also a bigger file. For a contract or scan you plan to read or print, 300 DPI is the safe default. The converter accepts any value from 60 to 900.

PDF to JPG Converter works fully offline and nothing is uploaded. The converter renders every page on your own computer, so your PDFs are never sent to a web server or logged by a third party. You can even run it with the network cable pulled out and it works exactly the same.

Yes. Enter a page range like 1-3 or 10-25 and only those pages are saved as images. The rest of the document is skipped.

Use JPG for small files you share or post online, PNG when text and line art must stay lossless, BMP as raw input for an image editor, and TIFF for archival and print. You can switch formats before each conversion.

Yes. Every page is exported as its own file, named after the source PDF with a zero-padded page number, so a five-page document gives you five images in the right order.

Short answer: the export DPI was too low. Long answer: many free tools fix output near 96 DPI and compress hard, which softens text and jags diagonal lines. Raise the DPI to 300 or more and pick a lossless format like PNG or TIFF and the pages come out sharp.

The software runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10. Download the free trial, convert a few PDFs, and register when you are ready to keep using it.
